Christina Gnadinger began cycling in 2007.
She met up with a friend to go for a bike ride on a $50 bike and quickly decided it was a lot of fun, although not so much on that bike. That inspired her to purchase a commuter bike so she could start biking to and from work each day. Soon she learned that she enjoyed the speed that comes with cycling and added a road bike to her collection.
Road cycling is her main passion although she rides other bikes on random occasions.
In addition to cycling, Christina is a fitness fanatic, seasonal runner, and a group fitness instructor at a local gym. She mainly teaches spinning / indoor-cycling but can also be found leading strength training and high intensity interval classes as well.
Outside of fitness activities she is a hobbyist photographer (you can check out her photography collections at RedHeadedPhotographer.com and Flickr) and works as the GIS Applications Developer for the Louisville Water Company.
Christina still bikes to work every day, rain or shine, and uses cycling as a means of commuting in her life whenever it’s possible.
She has ridden in the MS150 in the past and this recent season also participated in the Tour De Cure. In competitive cycling she participated in the Short Track mountain bike series, the 5 Spot Criterium, and the Jude Clark Criterium (where she came in 3rd place).
