Maggie, a clinical social worker, discovered mountain biking after a major life transition. She says that mountain biking saved her life socially, physically and…well mentally.
Though never really being the athletic type growing up, Maggie has done a handful of mountain bike races and a few local on and off road triathlons.
Though being away from the racing side of mountain biking, the social part of mountain has been an important component to riding. On fun casual rides, you might find Maggie posing for picture opportunities w/ her friends or stopping for that oh so important Chapstick break.
Maggie loves mountain biking because it makes her feel like a little kid again, meeting new people, and it challenges her to achieve more both on and off the bike.
